Fangzhou Yu
Where I grew up in China, power outages disrupted daily life and black dust from nearby factories would settle on the furniture.
It caused me to reflect on how energy and economic growth go together, but also the interplay between energy and the environment.
I earned a PhD in renewable energy, joined BP and then the Boston Consulting Group. I’m now at Databricks, delivering impactful AI solutions. I see huge potential for the AI-Energy nexus and bring this perspective to my role at Energy Mix Ventures.

Angela McKane
Major open heart surgery at the tender age of 26 saved my life.
It showed me what scientific progress and innovation can achieve.
I joined BP soon afterwards, where over 15 years I grew a global team scouting for the emerging technologies shaping the global energy system.
This is what got me here – a love for humanity, a passion for technology and an understanding that energy is fundamental for life.

Iwona Kerr
I have a passion for sustainable investing, bringing some 15 years experience in the asset management industry, primarily
with Black Rock.
I hold a Master’s in International Finance and a qualification from the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership. I bring these to bear in both my angel investing and my role with Energy Mix Ventures.
I am excited to seed the fantastic new energy companies of the future! As a mother of two, I see this as our gift to the next generation.
